Waigwe Gichuhi is a digital artist ,creative designer and illustrator from Kenya.

“My art journey is an ongoing rediscovery of fundamentals from my studies, being African, social interactions and internal conflicts as well as ongoing personal resolutions.”

“My art aims to convey expressions and observations of identity, style, race and gender. I also draw lots of inspiration from dream-like colorful scenarios that amalgamate from things I’ve experienced or read somewhere as I am avid consumer of media and art.”

“As an artist I think the most important thing in this journey is honesty; truth to what you enjoy making, what you have experienced or are interested in as well as what you aspire to be. If I can communicate those things, then my message will reach another kindred soul somewhere out there. That’s what inspires me the most.”
