Growing up in a rural area, Michael’s introduction to the creative world began with graphic design. What started as a foundational skill quickly revealed his natural eye for composition, color, and visual communication. Within just a year, his dedication and rapid growth propelled him into a senior design role—an early indicator of the leadership and creative confidence that would define his career.
Yet, while graphic design opened doors, animation captured his imagination.

The Self-Taught Path into 3D and Animation
Driven by a fascination with movement, characters, and cinematic worlds, Michael made the bold decision to transition into 3D and animation—largely through self-learning. Armed with books, workshops, and online training resources, he immersed himself in the technical and artistic demands of 3D production.
This commitment paid off when he secured a role at Animax Fyb in Accra, a pivotal chapter in his professional journey.
Animax Fyb: Crafting Award-Winning Work
At Animax Fyb, Michael honed his skills within a collaborative studio environment, contributing to high-profile animation projects. Among these was an award-winning UNICEF commercial, a project that not only showcased his technical ability but also demonstrated the power of animation as a tool for social impact.
His growth during this period was rapid and well earned. Between 2017 and 2019, Michael rose to the position of Lead Artist, taking on greater creative responsibility and guiding visual direction within the team.

Building Acute Formula: Entrepreneurship and Collaboration
In 2021, Michael took another decisive step forward by co-founding Acute Formula, a boutique creative studio made up of eight artists. The studio focused on local freelance projects, blending collaboration with hands-on problem solving across multiple disciplines.
This experience sharpened his abilities not just as an artist, but also as a creative leader—balancing artistic vision, client needs, and production realities.
Since then, Michael has established himself as a freelance 3D Generalist, working across borders and cultures. His portfolio spans projects in Ghana, Spain, Canada, Tanzania, the United States, and the United Kingdom, reflecting both his versatility and his ability to adapt to diverse production pipelines and artistic styles.
This international exposure has enriched his work, allowing him to merge African creative perspectives with global industry standards.
