Begun by music publicist Brian Shimkovitz in 2006, Awesome Tapes is an archive of rare African music cassette tapes that have been digitized. What I love about this platform is that it is features a treasure trove of rare and often forgotten sounds from different parts of the continent as well as inspirational cover art.
