Bino and Fino is a cartoon series about a brother and sister named Bino and Fino who live with their grandparents ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa’ in a modern day city in Africa. Produced by Nigerian animators Sola, Kunle Dada and Adamu Wazira the cartoon series that could be considered as the African version of ‘Dora the Explorer’ and ‘Charlie and Lola’.

The creators responded to an industry demand for more ethnically diverse children’s entertainment. Targeted towards children of toddler and preschool age from around the world the series hopes to provide positive images to viewers from Africa and the diaspora.

The series hopes to teach children the fundamentals as well as teach them major African language. The series is currently produced and available in Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, English and French and hopes to be available to other African languages like Swahili.

    Hi Kayode. Thanks for the comment. We’re working hard on getting Bino and Fino available on TV. It will also be available on DVD when we finish the first miniseries.
    A correction has to be made for the record, the lead animator on the project Sager Carpenter. Sola and Kunle acted and voiced episodes for the series.

    oh my goodness, that was adorable and so well done. I really love the character design, especially Fino with her afro puffs. I could easily see this among PBS/Disney Channel/Nickelodeon children’s programming in the morning.
