Slavar

We have heard news buzzing about this animated documentary Slavar, winner of countless of animation awards, but we waited to share with you once we found a trailer. Slavar is a short film by Hanna Heilborn, David Aronowitsch’s  and artist Mats Johansson about young Sudanese slaves. Based on an interview made in 2003, Slavar tells the story of  Abouk, 9, and Machiek, 15, who were taken by the government-sponsored militia in Sudan and used as slaves. The second film in a series of animated documentaries about children in difficult situations Slavar is powerful and inspirational.  (subtitles are in French)

Wow!!!!!!

I understand the muslin mind and yet it escapes me to think and know that a
god (Allah) has allow the systematic practice of torture of mind and body to be included in it’s tenets. I suspect that somewhere we have lost our way. Is this the avarice of man?
